I’m selling my home – do I need to use a Lawyer?

While there is no legal requirement in Illinois that a Lawyer has to be hired by a home seller, as a practicality it is nearly impossible and certainly ill-advised to represent oneself. There are many documents that need to be drafted, almost all of them fairly complex and detailed. Additionally, the negotiations that often occur between seller and buyer, can be confusing and frustrating, and for that reason, the buyer will certainly be represented by an Attorney.

I have represented hundreds of home sellers over the years; while I cannot guarantee that issues will not arise, I do promise that my many years of experience will serve you well to navigate the complexities of selling your home.
